Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
Northanger Abbey was the first novel by the renowned novelist Jane Austen. Even when she was still working on Sense and Sensitivity and Pride and Prejudice. The written work was completed in 1798. During 1803 it was taken to the printing press for revision but it was not until 1817 that the novel was revised again by the printers and published posthumously after the author’s death.
The events that begin with Catherine Morland’s visit to the site, take place in Northanger Abbey. Where she spends her days visiting her friends and also being pretended by John Thorpe, brother of one of her close friends and by young Henry Tinley. In the Abbey Catherine will live unforgettable moments.
