I, Claudius is a novel narrated as an autobiography, taking real historical events and moments as a reference, but brought to fiction by the author. It narrates the events occurred from the beginning of the Julius Caesar dynasty (44 BC) to the assassination of Emperor Caligula in the year 41 of our Lord. The historical was publish in 1934.
